Overgrown
Overgrown is an immersive storytelling project. The player could live a life in a possible future. By being exposed to a conflict in the story, the player could think of a solution to prevent it in real life.
The project was made in a program called Unity. Overgrown was a great opportunity to show my creativity in coding, storytelling and 3D modeling in a short amount of time.

The game was mostly inspired by the popular game Myst.
By solving puzzles you discovered new locations and find a way to complete the game.
However, the game never got passed the alpha demo phase.

Development
Songdo is already a modern city, therefore I made a lot of buildings feel modern but with a twist. The buildings were made in Cinema4D and exported to use in Unity.
The surrounding like walls and trees were completely made in Unity.
Game mechanics were added as obstacles, examples of these were opening and closing a door with a key, picking up a hacking device,
laser traps, a minimap and the showing of a UI box at certain points.
Due to time constraints, I was very limited as how far I could develop the game. I really wish I could expand on this project. But it learned me many ways to work with Unity.
